LR2 View Options Questions

Here's something thats driving me insane, in LR2 whenever you do something, (flag as pick, reject, undo in the develop mod, etc) you get a little message, even "loading" you get the little grey rectangle. By default it's at the bottom in the middle, but I was watching an LR2 video tutorial where it was in a corner and different in appearance - I'd prefer this so that I can quickly see the entire picture (not obscured by the "loading" rectangle). I'm pulling my hair out trying to find the option or preferences panel to change that... any ideas?

I would say to be careful flipping around.
I am running LR2.4 64bit and have experienced some issue while changing modes (library to develop) or changing directories in the library, and selecting a photo to throw into develop mode while LR is still loading the library and LR crashes...

Running 6GB of RAM, so I cant say tha I have ever seen the loading rectangle for any significant period of time to help you out on that one.

Thanks for the heads up, I wasn't planning on digging anything up big Poppa Adobe wouldn't want me to, but I'm sure it's buried deep in some menu option, and it's driving me insane.

(I'm changing an appearance thing, not the program.)
