?? are you asking if it is a good choice for sharpening images or reducing noise. It is a great software for both, but for sharpening images I would chose another software. I have been very happy with most of the pictures with lots of noise and then sharpening slider does a very good job, but I have not tried Noise Ninja or other similar products. If you are interested in Noiseware, I recommend getting the suite that includes Portrait and Real Grain. If you do decide to get this software, make 20 copies of your serial numbers. Shortly after I bought this software, my notebook motherboard died and the serial numbers were sent electronically. I have been trying to retrieve them from my drive ever since. I can't use Portrait or Real Grain on my new system and Noiseware is offering a free upgrade, but not without the serial numbers. |

[ begin rant ] I've bought a lot of software where I got the serial number electronically. Most of these companies make it pretty easy to retrieve the serial at a later date. If for some reason I lost them, and the company couldn't help me - well, they wouldn't get any more of my money. [ end rant ] Whew! I'm glad that's out of my system. I'm still using an older version of Noise Ninja, and I like it really well. Of course, any noise reduction software softens the image a bit. But sometimes it's worth it. |

As we are talking about Noise reduction and Sharpening, I have a question. In the post processing which should occur first? Noise reduction or Sharpening? Currently I reduce noise and then sharpen the image. I am using Noiseware suite and I am pretty happy with it. |

Noise reduction always comes first. All the pros say sharpening is the very last thing you do. Joe McNally, Scott Kelby, etc. all say sharpen last in pp. |

OK, so when do you apply capture sharpening and when do you apply output sharpening? Noise reduction comes first, then capture sharpening. Do all the rest of your PP.
