So, I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on large wheeled strollers? I want something that has the ability to go where normal strollers will not like beaches and hiking. Anyone have experience in this area? Thanks, Grant --------------------------- I shoot Nikon |

I played around with one of the 3 wheel 'Jeep' branded strollers and it seemed very mobile. I don't own one yet though. It would be for slightly bigger kids, aka not a 5 week old. --------------------------- Sony|SonyIR|Minolta Film|Polaroid |

We have an In Step "Saturn" jogging stroller we bought from Target six years ago. The wheels aren't big, but they are rubber, air-filled ones. Front wheels lock for jogging. It has gone everywhere we've wanted it to and wasn't expensive or is it heavy. Whatever you get, I recommend avoiding the hard plastic wheels found on some. Big wheels might work well, but then it's sometimes harder to fold up and put in your car. |

Phil and Teds are awesome and lightweight go-anywhere strollers. Wish we had bought one originally instead of the multiple jogger/umbrella/graco ones we had with our 1st child. When our 2nd was coming we needed a stroller that could do 2 kids when needed, and we ended up getting the Sport which allows for a 2nd seat that can mount to the frame inline and behind the 1st main seat (plus the main seat can lay completely flat and accepts most infant seats). It's very mobile, easy to use, and lightweight. They have even better versions now but I highly recommend checking them out. Get one where the front wheel can turn (if that's possible)...we had a triple stroller and it was wonderful, except you had to take the weight off the front end and turn it on the back axle. Like I told my husband...well worth the money in comparison to the psychiatric bill!! |
