Brad, I'm confused. You appear to have issued a NEW assignment in January of '09 but all the posts in the thread are dated in January of '08. What is actually going on?

    About Me
My first camera was a little silver and black Kodak Instamatic in the 70s. I still have some of those early black and white negatives, including a portrait of my best friend. He's posing in a white t-shirt and black pants, leaning on a metal trash can. That camera started my love of photography, and a 35mm Topcon Uni my father bought in Thailand in the 60s solidified it. I spent high school learning everything I could about composition and lighting while I worked my camera for the newspaper and yearbook. In college, I continued to teach myself everything I could as I took on various freelance challenges.

The world and the people in it are beautiful, and I use my camera to show the world the beauty that I see all around me. Beyond using interesting angles, lighting, and the ocassional location work, I also take the time to get to know my subjects and their desires. The result is an unhurried, more relaxed session. This relaxed atmosphere means more natural expressions and poses - and overall better results.

Its funny... there was a time when I would not have believed that people photography would end up being what I enjoy the most. I love it... the ability to meet new and interesting people all the time... to show them how beautiful they can be... its great.
