anyone tired using the timelapse feature in the nikon camera control pro2 software? i searched this section for timelapse but didn't see anything on it...

basically the problem i'm having is when doing 1s interval shots.

when i use the wired remote and hold the shutter down (while plugged in via usb to my computer) with the lock on the remote, it does ~2-3 shots a second, as it should (but only up to that stupid 99 consecutive thing). so i know that the camera is 'capable' of taking and transferring images to the laptop fast enough.

however, if i try to use the software, i get alot of the "couldn't take the picture because it couldn't focus on the subject".

i thought maybe i could 'beat' the camera and flip it to MF, but no, it -still- gives me focusing errors (that it's trying to use af-c) even though i'm in manual!! it even greys out the focusing options in the software since it realizes i'm in MF. wtf?!?

so, anyone have any tips or tricks to get the software to either hold focus, or just ignore focus so it can actually take pics at 1s intervals?
