Local Camera Rental that offers insurance - 07-15-2009, 10:25 AM

I need to rent a canon 70-200mm for this weekend, and I have noticed that rates are much cheaper if I rent locally (Dallas area). But I have not found someone that offers insurance (alot of the website ones offer insurance for $10 more).

Does anyone know of a Dallas area rental location that lets you pay a little extra to get insurance on the lens. These places charge the amount of the lens to your card until you bring it back (If I had the $1200 I would buy it myself!)

Thanks!

they place a hold on the card for that amount, it isn't actually charged unless you fail to return it.

I know that it's just a hold, I just can't really have a hold of $1200 right now :). Plus I know I am super careful with equipment, I would just feel so much better with an insurance policy on it!
