Metal Art on Main Street - 04-20-2009, 12:58 AM

This is one of the Main Street Art Festival artist's work that caught my eye. I took a few grab shots. I found it interesting to try and identify some of the metal parts he used.

Interesting stuff! I didn't make it out this year but there's usually something strange to see. Was it crowded? The weather seemed perfect ...

I was starting to think I was the only one seeing my posts lately.....LOL.

The crowds pick up significantly after noon. Morning is not so bad. These were taken Saturday with very overcast skies but the temperature was nice. I went back Sunday afternoon for about another hour. The crowd seemed larger and it was a very bright day although there were some really strong winds depending on where you were standing. The temperature was great too. The photography I did was much more difficult on Sunday with the shade from the tents and the bright sun but with flash and watching the meter I was able to get some good shots of what I was there for.

I remember last year and it was down right hot!

Those were really cool pieces. I saw those out there Saturday. I think the "dog" was like $5,000....
