I kinow in the past people have been looking for reduced room rates so they could stay there and take lots of photos, etc.

Here's an email I received today with rates at $129 per night (usually $200/night and up).

It's for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but still a good deal.

Beginning November 16th, 2006, Gaylord Texan Resort will host its annual Lone Star Christmas event. Guests of the resort will be dazzled by beautifully decorated atriums filled with over
1.2 million sparkling lights, two 25-foot trees, dozens of holiday displays, eight garden-scale trains with a 12-foot overhead bridge, Santa in his workshop, strolling entertainment and holiday music, to name a few. In addition, the resort will present its 2nd annual "ICE!" exhibit featuring two million pounds of ice hand-carved by artisans from Harbin, China into magical holiday monuments and sculptures.
